Why become a Mentor?
  • Help residents get started the right way.
  • Grow a friendly, resilient community.
  • Improve users' viewer & sim knowledge.
  • Be part of OSgrid's volunteer core.
What you'll do
  • Guide users to resources (bodies, clothes, etc.).
  • Explain viewer settings (LOD, cache, graphics).
  • Point to correct simulator software & docs.
  • Escalate tricky issues to admins/greeters.
Ideal profile
  • Avatar age = 1 year.
  • Polite, friendly, helpful attitude.
  • Understands OSgrid & OpenSim basics.
  • Knows their way around the grid.
A note from OSgrid

We love the enthusiasm of new users, but mentoring requires a solid base. OSgrid has no economy; it's powered by volunteers. People run their own simulators; OSgrid maintains the grid infrastructure. Take your time to learn, join meetings, help others, and return to apply when you're ready.
